I would recommend doing research for any school you intend to go to above and beyond the stuff the school tells you. I applied to the Columbus College of Art and Design, got in, went, and was told during orientation that I should get ready for a year of pure insanity since CCAD has the second-highes...

I'll have to check that out. You have to admit, though, the name sounds very stereotypically country. Or rockabilly.

I've never heard it, but it sounds like a country song, in which case... no. Can't do the country.

Ah, screw it. Sorry. They don't call me "worthless human garbage" for nothing.

All I can tell you is that the recurring theme song to Gin and the Devil would be "Drunk is Better than Dead" by the Push Stars. If you're curious as to what that song is about, read the title again. Very much to the point.

Not that my comic gets a little dark.

Man, I've only been at this for about five months and it's unbelievable to me that people are out there that have been doing it for three years or more. I have a hard time seeing myself doing it for that long, but then again, I can't picture myself stopping. Honestly, I think it'd be easier for me t...

I've still got my first letter from a reader too. It's nothing exciting, just a "Hey, your comic is funny" kind of thing, but it's like a store keeping the first dollar they make. It's cool to have it.

From personal experience, I can assure you that absolutely no one gives a damn about a disheveled artist. If you find someone that does, marry it.

My first multple-letters kind of fan was actually a friend of mine's mom. Considering the subject matter of my comic, I was pretty surprised that my biggest fan was nearing the age of sixty. Too bad my dad thinks it sucks. As far as my first link goes, I'm not entirely sure, but I'm thinking it's Bl...

Tattoo the URL on your forehead. Then, go on a killing spree. Then, get caught. You will get a lot of traffic.

Most of my characters are inspired by real people, but they're not literally those people. They're merely similar to them, and I try to maintain that detachment, so I can venture away from reality in the comic. Even the character based off myself isn't really me. It's more of a caricature of myself,...

My storyline largely revolves around what kind of humor I can get from taking the characters in certain directions. It seems to work out well enough, although I really don't know what's going to happen five strips from now. I kind of just write it strip by strip and try to focus on when I've spent t...
