According to HNTRAC the best way to be able to draw hands is to draw hands. Meaning, no matter how bad you are, if you keep drawing them you'll get better. And the more you draw the better you will get anyway. Look at today's comic for many webcomics, than look at their first comic. The difference i...

Lettering
Questions and statements!
I letter myself, but I'm very bad at it. Does anyone have any advice on using fonts to letter, and how you make the speech bubbles if you do?
Any and all lettering techniques welcome!
My best lettering so far has been in pencil first and inked over.

Scans: I've tried to scan in as black and white, but that makes the art look chunky. Would you suggest fixing things on the initial scan, or should I fix it in Photoshop. A...

Embedded blog
Does anyone know how to embed a blog into the index page?
Or: How do most of you (if you do) update little journally things on your index pages? I guess we'd call them news columns or something.

If you do get a website and feel the time is right to start your webcomic, don't get discouraged! It's easy to, because people won't automatically start reading your comic no matter how great you think it is. Just keep doing it, and you'll eventually get some fans. Even the worst comics have their d...

"Go somewhere and start writing" Good point. I've been drawing little comics since I was twelve, and I really like how I can look back on what I used to do and how I do things now. I don't do nearly as much practice as I should, but I think I've reached the point where people can read my work and s...

Backgrounds: Yes or No?
I'm just wondering how many people use backgrounds in their comics or if they prefer to just have white space.
How much more difficult is it for you to add backgrounds if you have them, and why don't you have them if you don't?
Just wondering.
