Re: Webcomic Pet Peeves

I agree Bustertheclown's criticism is very much spot on in terms of how I go about drawing comics. It struck a chord with my concerns how lack of careful planning or editing can sink a comic like mine right from the start. To make what little readers interested in what happens next, I tend to create...

Re: Why are we doing this?

I know that the comic I was working on had some semblance of theme long ago but now I just draw to experiment the practical rate of wear on the pen tip of my tablet.

Re: Am I the only one who wanted to shoot themselves?

I really don't have any grasp of HTML, but fortunately the server on Comicgen end manages to make it float. Coding in HTML or CSS or what have you seems entirely like an art unto itself.

I think all personal defense devices should develop into more non-lethal means. Like tasers that have more range or experimental sonic based devices. After watching the videos I get the intimidation the guy was very angry, and needed some serious mental help. No he wasn't crazy, but he was just very...

Hussein's death is like an end of yet another chapter in this Iraq invasion. Death penalty in the Mideast is more prevalent and seemingly an integral part of the Shariah Islamic law. It is only merciful that he did not get dragged out into the streets and suffered a painful and violent protracted de...

I dunno. Mr. Irwin was a converstionist, and if I recall correctly have been adamant in his opposition to poaching of wildlife animals or even expose them to an exclusive safari designed for tourist attraction. Of course, he dangled his baby a few feet away from half ton biting force of a croc maw, ...

Well, I try to discover the answers for myself, or rather I sheepishly expect an answer to materialize out of life's many travails. I can almost always justify anything that happens to me on religious grounds, although I sometimes flat out refuse to do so since it seems so convenient, just like the ...

I still don't really know what to place sometimes even with the choices...Wouldn't using them though be considered plagiarising? I am not so sure.

The tablet seems to be designed with a couple of particular programs in mind. Corel Painter and Adobe Photoshop (although I can use it with Gimp and Paint Shop Pro). I do not find it especially efficient working with this, since it provides more option in digital drawing that is easily more accessib...

News updates

I would like to post some news in this particular thread as they come up. I think it is more of a responsive way of response than one way bulletin I put up on the front page of the site. January 21st update: I was late on this one since I had drawing Silmi's face. I had a general idea of face from t...

new year resolutions

For new year, I hope to update the comic a bit more often that I have done in the past. I'm thinking of comitting more of my time to drawing while taking some time from school..but of course that may change and I may end up curtailing even my meagre output. Don't worry, I will never leave what I sta...

Fanart

I'm a fan of many other comics on the comicgen. I've found drawing fanarts a rather cathartic exercise, some means of freeing myself from the burdens of my own dreary mind and giving myself some respite in the realm of wide wonder and images supplied by other creative minds far more interesting. So ...

As I mentioned in the index page of the comic, I am restarting it. The artwork is far coarser with minimal polish, but my distaste for pixel hunting and glossing over a page with smudge tool short of crafting a whole new macro for the exercise may have taken a toll on my initial enthusiasm. My knowl...

Updating again.

I will be updating the comic soon. I left it off for a bit as I was getting my life in order. I guess the schedule will still be on a weekly basis at best.
