Re: Somebody please critique what I've done so far
Hey, the other day I just managed to get my site open and over the past 3 three days have done two comics, with a third to be done by tonight. I was wondering what everyone thought of the comic's general style and whatnot as I'm starting it. http://whitehydra.keenspace.com/ My comic is better color...

Well then you have to get Kisai to fix it I believe. Be nice in asking her, state the problem exactly and ask her to fix it. Where can I get a hold of her? Weeee! It worked without my asking! I must be magic. *strains to turn computer into throw rug* Okay, I guess not, but whatever. I guess I'm jus...

Wh--wait did you delete the /d file in FTP? If so, try recreating the folder in FTP . Since you use SmartFTP, try this: Open the public_html file. In the right side of the window right click, new, folder. Name it d and that should hopefully fix it. I guess just do that, trigger an autoupdate and th...

This was already mentioned further back in the thread. I go to your dailytemplate.html and find this jumbled mess: http://swirlyandpop.keenspace.com/workspace/dailytemplate.html Go to the FAQ, in the first post, find the section written by KittyKatBlack. Copy the code from there and make a complete...

Okay, I have an uber-weird problem with my archive. 1) I found out that I've had an archive all along, but... 2) It doesn't link to it directly, and... 3) It automaticly adds really really weird code. To acess a page in my archive to see what I mean, go here: http://swirlyandpop.keenspace.com/ Then ...

You can use notepad in the way I described above: I saved copies of my index and daily templates to a spot on my computer, then I edit them in notepad by opening them in IE, viewing the source, and changing it and saving it that way. It's a bit of a roundabout way to do it, but with the page open i...

Crimson Editor -- it's just a text editor, but based on the file extension, it color-codes the text. Strings, HTML tags, etc. are much easier to see. I've also been using it for Java programming, and I just learned C, so it helps there, too. Make sure the file extension (.html) is correct or the co...

youd dailytemplate was mangled beyond recognition. What is the editor you're using? The simplier-the better. The more "advanced" editors, have the habit of making things "easier" for you, by adding tons of stuff that probably help editing text if you wanted to print it, but tottally ruin any HTML c...

There's something wrong with my archive too, it doesn't display previous comics. I read the tutorial BTW. I'm screwed up. Sorry. :( If it helps this is my comic page. I've done one previously, so that's why it makes no sense: http://swirlyandpop.keenspace.com/ Thanks for taking the time to help. Edi...

Hrm, that doesn't seem to work, does it...I can't seem to find a way to edit the pages in SmartFTP. I don't edit my pages in the FTP program anyhow, I do it all on my computer. I saved copies of my index and daily templates to a spot on my computer, then I edit them in notepad by opening them in IE...

Help a newbie using SmartFTP
I wat to get to the window where that information is displayed and I can add or alter text layout. My friend (who has LeechFTP) says he right-clicked on the indextemplate.html or the dailytemplate.html files and edited them with notebook. How do I do this on SmartFTP?
