I got one too, and I've hardly been to this site in a couple of years. My guess is that the message was spam and got deleted either automatically or via admin intervention.

We know Quentyn was named after Quentyn of Ridgedale, but that's the only past Questor we've heard of, that I can remember anyway. Two other historical questors have been mentioned, Fleet and Abram. I couldn't locate the exact strips, but I believe both mentions were around the time Quentyn was wor...

One thing Quentyn ought to figure out sooner or later - he almost did before he got the job of rescuing Nessie - is that there may not be a steady income in questoring, and there's no shame in having a "regular job" on the side to pay the bills while waiting for the next quest to come along.

The fox had what I thought was the best line in the whole movie: "Not to be rude, but I wasn't talking to you." (It works much better in context.)

I hope today's strip puts to rest whatever concerns any readers may have had about Quentyn (and Kesterl and Fennel) being alcoholic (which leads me to wonder if it was a response to that thread).

And the "license to kill" thing was a bluff? Hmmm...

Actually, weirdly enough, a typical sherry runs around eighty to ninety proof- that is, anywhere between 40-45% alcohol. A brandy runs about seventy to eighty proof- 35-40%. Stronger examples of both can be found, but it's not nearly so pronounced as the difference between, say, a blackberry wine (...

Re: We may have a problem...

I tried typing in http://www.wikifur.com, and got redirected to http://furry.wikicities.com/wiki/WikiFur_Furry_Central . Easy enough. :) I started looking around and found entries for Goblin Hollow , Nip & Tuck , Tales of the Questor and their creator, Ralph Hayes, Jr. The Entry for Questor contain...

I loved the movie. It's been about seven years since I read the series (I was nine at the time) and I still figured that the plot was mostly unchanged. I heard a complaint that 'The Magician's Nephew' should have been made first, since it takes place before LWW chronologically. What do you think? T...

The possibility of out-of-towners riding in to settle a score with someone is probably something the elders back in Freeman Downs have some idea how to handle. Quentyn might be reluctant to alert them to the possibility of him being a target, but Meribeth knows too and would probably mention it to t...

Meribeth works in a tavern. What do you want to bet she has heard something that ties into the plot. The magistrate and the other people did say the trail of the gold led all the way back to the swamps. Quentyn is probably going to get tangled in the plot at it's other end, and it will turn out to ...

Um, I doubt it, between the stomach acid's preventing any alcohol-forming bacteria/yeast, and sugar's water solubility allowing it to dump straight into the bloodstream, with maybe a conversion to glucose first... A high-sugar diet is more likely to cause obesity and diabetes IMHO... I don't know h...

There is one thing Quentyn could and probably should do here, and that would be to apologize to Mulharney.

IIRC, there are three "main" gangs, one of which is the Royals, and some number of lesser wannabe gangs, including the Redcaps. And I would speculate that the "organizers" of the trade only work with the big three. And just to clear up some possible terminology confusion, the gangs probably were not...

I honestly don't know.......and situations notwithstanding, a kick in the knobs isn't something you shrug off when you come face-to-face with the kicker......in your own station. Ralph.....IS that panel 2 guardsman Mulharney or not? I can't tell from his appearance, but I'd g...

A man reported for his first day of work as a school bus driver. The bus they gave him had several Sesame Street characters painted on it. His first stop was two girls, both fat and both named Patty. His second stop was a boy named Ross whom he was told was "special". His third stop was a boy name L...

Yes, the situation played out in a rather anti-climactic way, and it remains to be seen what the authorities will do with Quentyn. (BTW, what did they do with WC? Will Quentyn have a whole 'nother stuggle to get it back?) At any rate, it may have been for the best that it ended this way. He could ha...

Also, even though he is fully charged and has WC, Quentyn is still outnumbered about 40 to one. He might just want to run away. Actually, I suspect they're outnumbered 1 to 40... Well, he doesn't really need to beat all 40 of them.. He just needs to beat on enough of them that the rest will get sca...

My brother teaches history to junior high kids, and he's had students who thought that Disney's version of Pocahontas was accurate. Sorry, not even close.
