The only way to achieve fair moderation would be to task a disinterested outsider, perhaps from one of the other boards, that would limit his or her duties to the minimum necessary. I remember that idea from a GI Joe "Now I know" ending blirp. However, that can't always be the case. It seems that t...

Oddly enough, my fursona, Shadow (given a buzz cut and military change, you know him as Bo) has two physical problems. He needs glasses, which he doesn't wear (this mirrors my own self, in that I don't need glasses, but I want to wear them because it makes my eyes appear bigger and I look better wit...

<sigh> Would you people quit trying to find an implied subtext in my posts? Please? I don't do subtexts, whether spoken or written. And yet, just a few threads ago you told me that you always seem to post on things assuming that others see it from your perspective and thus miss points and issues th...

Wanderwolf, they're jumping on you because you're the one trying to explain how the trial was illegal on numerous different factions, be it US Trial, Iraqi Trial and whatnot. Make a claim, and there will be people here to argue it. As for me, my jaw was slack when it was announced. I've been visitin...

Ah, okay. I can see it better now. Thanks. However, let's look at another example. Thou Shalt Not Kill Pretty easy rule to follow, and there's little to no dispute on where that rule came from. So, if you could help me understand your side of the argument (I have not taken the time to read the entir...

Life? In medieval Japan... Norselands... Europe snipped for size Just a question. What do those countries from those points in time have to do with our Constitution in today's society? I mean, did they have a Constitution that recognized Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness and didn't follow ...

Well, as long as the FAS has a clause "No arguing For/Against/About each point in the FAS or your thread will be locked" I'd say that referencing it to answer someone would be alright, but continuing after that would be walking the line. Maybe a warning from a mod that they're walking the line after...

I just find it amusing that the moment Mr Hayes is taken down from his Mod status, that the TotQ forum suddenly explodes with OT and/or politically based threads, when before TotQ was the least OT and Politically based forums of the three. I can remember some time ago a forumite from here went to th...

After the New Years celebrations, I'll be calling for nominations for moderators. That may be something I'd take a whack at. I'll be sure to sign up when the time comes. During this time, though, I have an idea for everyone. Ralph said (ether here or another forum) that he has a tendency to lock th...

1. Being allowed in your lifemate's hospital room when they're sick and/or dying. As a non-family-member and official non-spouse, the average gay lover is required to stand helplessly outside the hospital ward, while the partner's family, regardless of how they feel about the partner, are allowed f...

Four: This is the second time he's[pushed this bill. Last time he didn't even vote for it. How about some reporter call him on that? Isn't that their job after all? To bring facts to light and rub the powerful's noses in it? Not on this planet friend. Certain people will always get a free ride from...

Read through the original post and you'll find out. I have, several times. And I can't see what is being taken out of context. I'm beginning to think that it's a bit of a lost cause debating with him because we're obviously entrenched in our beliefs and nothing can change it. Why cause more conflic...

He also took most of that, which has been nicely debated until now, out of context. I'll just leave this post and come back to it later, but I am wondering if I should bother dancing around some subjects or not... From what I can see, he didn't take them out of context. If you would, please kindly ...

*all of Calbeck's post* Well said my friend. But maybe you need a few minutes to calm down? We could hit a shooting range or clear meadow with a machine gun, bazooka and plenty of cans? I can understand he touched on a tender spot on your life, much like me and immigration from my family, just not ...
