Actually if noone was unable to do anything, the reason would be that everything is working. That's a double negative.

You know (that is, assuming there is a "you" out there to know things), it would be kind of ironic if it all ended here, right after the narrator had declared that "There is no time, she must act NOW!" Guess that shows how long a forum can keep going (?) without a continuing creative work to support it. Not that there were so many people here commenting on the strip in the first place.
