Well, I figured I might as well post the NNFB ad we'll be submitting for the book. I'll be notifying readers that they can find this page in the CG FCBD book, so maybe this will be a case where an advertiser helps push the book it's in :)

Re: Web links for 2007

You have to make these links open up in a new window. As it is now, you click on the link and if you look at anything on the site, you have to hit the back button 10-20 100 times. You can exit everything and re enter WCCA and then click the 2007 list, and then find where you were again, but having ...

I'm pretty happy with the over-all layout of the categories as they stand. I do agree that a survey sent out to determine what categories cause confusion would be great. Also clarity on the whole "you don't have to vote for every category" thing. I like the idea of combining romantic and dramatic co...

Hey Scott,

The Dreamland Chronicles is the reason I'm submitting "computer generated Webcomic" as a new category for 2008. Clearly real talent has come to the Webcomic world in the realm of computer generated art (although you'll have to compete with Crimson Dark.)

They aren't mine, but several newcomer comics I've found this year are Hero By Night Diaries http://www.drunkduck.com/Hero_By_Night_Diaries/ Cowboys and Aliens http://www.drunkduck.com/CowboysAndAliens/ The Zombie Hunters http://www.thezombiehunters.com/comic/tzh/index.php?strip_id=1 Any of Kris Str...

I guess it all comes down to what benefits a Flash-based interface will give you over the likelihood that you'll be missing out on a little bit of traffic. If it weren't for the many comic management systems already available online, which can seen on any computer without downloading additional soft...

Outstanding Superhero/Action Comic

I've been looking and the categories for nomination, and Outstanding Superhero/Action Comic just seemed a little bit off to me. Clearly superhero comics are far less common in Webcomics than their paper-based cousins, but it seems that the superhero category can stand on its own without being couple...

yup yup

True that. I got to make three designs for a shrubbery maze (thinking of doing a nights of Ne theme) Write a 3 page essay, make 2 large image boards, start designing an egyptian clock, and study a library to research creating a new "image" for it. To top it all off, yes, swords are cool. -Joe, hey l...
