 I'm guessing these people are descendants of the old European nobility, if not in blood then in spirit. More likely he was counting on the (assumed) fear-inducing reputation of an Imperial cruiser. Didn't work, did it, jocko? I'm waiting for the scene where Mansrat is in custody and faces th...

And just to add to the confusion... Some "werewolf" legends describe not a curse but people who could drape themselves with a wolf's fur and thereby change into a wolf. There are theories that certain diseases seeded what became werewolves or vampires, or that certain (unembalmed) decomposition effe...

Re: And NOW you KNOW
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYcJRS2RAgs "Lemon Tree," by Fool's Garden And NOW you KNOW what inspired the name! Really? I thought is was a much older song, sung by groups such as the Kingston Trio or Peter, Paul and Mary. http://www.lyricsfreak.com/p/peter%2C+paul+%26+mary/lemon+tree_20107749.ht...

Now I'm wondering if Ben's going to refuse ("this is an arcade, not a place of worship"), causing Beltane to organize a protest for "oppressing" her faith. Then we see Beltane and Pecknsnif protesting side-by-side... for however long it takes for them to realize they're protesting completely opposit...

Well, if it was me instead of Ben, I'd: (1) Look up all available documentation regarding Beltane's claim. (2) Find the nearest thing available to a Native American shaman, and ask his opinion. (3) Do whatever seems most entertaining, given the information I've collected. I had very simil...

WeaponsCon - an old fan convention where (unlike most fan cons) everyone attending had to be armed, even if it was only a paper knife.
"An armed society is a polite society."
(Then again, back in the day you could actually force people into fighting you or being publicly humiliated.)

And I think that while Ralph includes lux-manipulated (i.e. "animated") objects such as golems - and possibly extending to corpses at some point - he will not be touching on that supernatural concept of "undeath". So he will at best simulate such things as ghosts, vampires (already described on one ...
Yes, the boy-mage might be escaping angry villagers or witch hunters (or lots of other people who might want him dead), but consider the other possibilities... He's running away from home because he can no longer hide being "different". His parents might have any number of reactions. He's escaping a...

Gentleracs, again, I must remind you that our defenses are a side topic. Apparently there is a great deal of interest in them, so may I suggest they be taken up at a later session? Say this evening? For the moment, however, the question before us is the relative merits of "Expansion" versus "Free Tr...

894. I can't just keeping buy rounds of drinks until everybody passes out so I can rob them. Sounds like a legimate strategy to me . There's an easy way to discourage this - make it cost in effective. (That many drinks costs more than you'll find on them.) Besides, the tavern staff won't be joining...

I suspect the Urban Dictionary is a bit more urban than correct. No argument there. But it's not mentioned as a word (as opposed to proper name) in Dictionary.com, Wikipedia, WikiFur, etc. If it were a recognized furry term, I'd have exected to see it at least in WikiFur. Besides, the UD definition...
