You need to improve on a lot of grounds... not saying that my comic is perfect, but... - Smoother coloring. Color areas in one direction only, and make the comic large sized. When you scan it into a computer, and shrink it down, the coloring will smooth out. - INK! OH, DEAR GOD, INK! Ink was invente...

Re: The Webcomic Manifesto: Conceiving

actually Luna, i like your stick figures craploads better than a lot of other comics i read... i just can't remember where i first saw something similar to the crazy "full of pointy teeth roundy head" head thinger... i know i saw it someplace, possibly in a cartoon, then i saw it in some other comi...

jueves, you also leave out the people who just plain don't care about popularity. I make comics because making comics is fun and makes me happy. It's fun to create characters and put them in situations and make jokes. It's fun to try new things artistically. My comic is only just starting, but I hav...

http://www.drunkduck.com is a simple option... you sign up, and start uploading content right away. You don't get a webpage... it's more of just a file upload, picture gallery thing. Also, you can't upload in advance. Drunk Duck does have a pretty cool comment and grading system, though. Or, if you ...

LOL! My comic sucks so much you had to post twice about it. Or does "they" mean the other comics? Or Drunk Duck? Or the global diet pill pyramid scheme?

Gotta love phpbb, eh? ;) The double posts, I mean.

Ah, that might explain how I got bumped out of the top ten even though my score was higher than other's in there. I was wondering about that... they shouldn't penalize people who post comics every other day, like I plan.

Yeah, I wish I could print out boxes onto bristol board... I spend way too much time making sure the boxes are aligned and straight.

I use a 5" x 14" piece of bristol board (I get it in books that are 17 x 14, and chop it up and leave the extra 2 inches to try to make a heading for my comic). Each panel is 4 inches high and 3 inches across, with a .25 inch buffer zone between the panels. For the lettering, I make about 5 pencil l...

So most people's gripes with Drunk Duck is just that you can't upload multiple images and you can't have your own HTML site with character pages and extras. Both are the reason I still want to be at keenspace. The feedback and voting system are pretty cool... my comic got up to #6 on the site after ...

*me lets out a resounding hoot* First strip is entertaining, I find that great as first feedback. Heh... :-? Your discreet plug looks pretty cool... I bet if you artistly smudge up the scratchlines on the bottom half, it would smoothen it out and make it look kinda cool... even though it hasn't upda...

Drunk Duck is lame...

I got tired of waiting and wanted to upload something... boredom tends to cause that. Someone here pointed out that Drunk Duck can be used to host comics... however, it wasn't until I registered and uploaded a comic that I realized that it sucked, and sucked hard. You don't get a webpage, just a lit...

White out isn't that bad... not if you get the good kind. I have white out that is applied with a tiny sponge, so the white out stays smooth, and it is very opaque. And I use bristol board, which doesn't seem to take any adverse effects from the white out. I just like to look at my strip on paper an...

Yeah, I know, that was sort of a joke post... I play around with it a bit only to clean up stuff, but I change very little line-wise. That is done with white out.

The best picture ever. It's just up until I get a site and scan my comics in, and find the perfect face or thing or whatever in that.

What exactly are you using to "ink" Cause a black marker does as good as a job as anything else... and works perfectly fine on normal cheap paper. Once the comic is scanned in... and played around with a bit, you can't tell the difference. I'm using technical pens, small size watercolor brushes, an...
