Re: [ABUSE] Spammed via PM? I need to know!
I've just received a fresh serving of spamwich myself, ironically titled "Spam protection", from someone/something who joined yesterday.

Re: Pencil work in progress
I've offered to create a HiRez fan art page for Scott, I suspect there won't be much push back on that concept :) 21CF is 1024 pixels wide, I'm happy to host any fan art that is at least 800 pixels wide, with no top end limit :) Really? I have a higher-resolution version of the get-well card (1200x...

I play all of mine on my computer, and can find software hacks to disable the region codes if necessary, but yes, region-free set-top players are available. http://www.zonefreedvd.com/ Many of the major American studios are now adding additional security features (RCE) to their DVDs, which supposedl...

I love that show, got a couple episodes on Beta somewhere, no player but couldn't bear to part with them. :o The series is available on DVD now, y'know. You can purchase them through http://www.amazon.co.uk. They're probably Region 2, although I've heard conflicting reports that some of the volumes...

Remarkable! I love what's being done with procedural animation these days. An acquaintance of mine over at Renderosity recently constructed a poseable 3D model of an upright player piano, then coded a Python script that processes MIDI music files to generate piano animation data. Thank you for shari...

I wouldn't call myself a master.
Rowsby, on the other hand, is worthy of the title. Check out some of his characters, like Quentin and Spinnaker, if you have the time. He has a gallery at Renderosity.com, also.

More thoughts: 2) Or possibly, Nappy has more of an affinity for machines than living creatures, and his addressing Jack as "mammal" parallels Megatron's contemptuous description of humans as "flesh creatures" in the Transformers saga. 5) "Better Than Life" -- a reference to the lethal, addictive VR...

This raises the nasty spectre of copyright, piracy, and distribution issues. On one hand, most studios tend to frown upon such matters (or have their lawyers do the frowning for them). On the other hand, I wouldn't be selling the tapes or making a profit, and I can eat anyone who tries to serve me p...

Does ANYONE have a videotape of the first airing of "A Day In The Life" before they cut out that amazing scene with Colleen and Exile explaining where Russian family names came from? I have a copy. I believe I have them all, more or less. I was disappointed that TOON Disney butchered the Gargoyles ...

Colleen was a member of the Road Rovers, a Warner Bros. animated series which featured anthropomorphic superhero canines.
The series didn't last long, but it gained a very strong fan base.

I initially believed that she was Colleen, also, until I recalled that Fire Team GOLD also has a UK collie as a member. Not only belled, but tagged (Loser!) .... Personally, I'd rig the collar with a small explosive charge, set to detonate at the slightest sign of tampering. But the resulting mess w...

Interesting idea. I dug through my browser cache and recovered the link to the original post. The thread does indeed still exist, although apparently it resides in some sort of KeenSpace phantom zone, or perhaps a parallel dimension. http://forums.keenspace.com/viewtopic.php?t=44012 So, anyone care ...

First, Even though it's not Jenny, I like the voice for Jenny. I have a deeper voice in mind when I think of Florence, but it's a good tone for Jenny. For the benefit of those who haven't followed my animation exploits over at the Freefall forum, I'll point out that this voice was completely comput...

These were all done in Poser 4, although I've tested the figure in Poser 5. Poser renders animations as image sequences or .avi files (or on Macintosh, QuickTime .mov files). I can convert the .avi to MPEG-1 format using a freeware utility. MPEG is a bit more user-friendly when posting to the Web; f...
