With regard to whether or not AF would be the same if the species of the characters were mixed up, am I the only one who's noticed that the characters at the center of society are all domesticated species -- rabbits, dogs, cats -- while the ones at the fringe are all wild -- badgers, foxes? As to the willys full of clowns and other oddities for the last two weeks, I assumed they were intended to show that Tristan doesn't react much to anything. Except that object in the antiques store.

By a curious coincidence, I heard McGonagall's "The Railway Bridge o'er the Silvery Tey" read on National Public Radio here in the states just a couple of weeks before his name appeared in the strip. I'm sure this means something, but I'm not quite sure what.
