As for strip size: you don't actually need a scanner much bigger than A4. I scan my strips in two halves and glue them together in an appropriate art program. Gotta finish those tests with the digital camera sometime. If I can get it to work, I'll be able to work as large as I want. One-click scann...

Or you could just not worry about fixing things up at ALL.... like I do... Go look at today's comic if you don't know what I mean. There are still BLATANTLY VISIBLE pencil guidelines on the outside edge of the pic... hehe. Oh GOSH I'm such a loser.... :p Having produced my share of crappy comics (o...

You ordered a round of applause, you got it.

(And here's your change: amazing!)

(So. Does Level Head have a book collection of poetry coming out? I must know. If not, why not?)

The result of all this is - as anyone who's chanced to look at my logs lately will know - that AF's been shedding readers quite alarmingly over the last month, with about ninety fewer people tuning in on November 1 than on October 18. Which is a clear sign not all is well. The essence of it is: I'v...

Sure, _now_. (How was I to know there was such a thing as a psychokinetic mime? I mean, it's not like I need any more reasons to dread the things.)

And Tim has, I think, pretty much nailed it.

Re: I live! (And I also hunger, as it happens.)

And I'm likely to be rethinking various aspects of the strip, perhaps to the extent of starting up a whole new one, since I've suddenly found myself in so different an intellectual and emotional environment. (An image of a rollercoaster may help you here. One of the noisy wooden ones.) But I'll see...

Re: Good, nicked, sweet prints...

I liiiiiike Friday's installment. Good. Very good. Something I don't think anyone else has mentioned yet: I think we can safely rule out Hrosvitha as a suspect, on motive grounds. The-rabbit-with-a-face-but-who-lacks-eyes-but-wears-glasses-anyways is a sympathizer with whatever cause he had associat...

Marking off a section for enlargement. (It should probably be a negative or something, but I'm not really the expert I should be.) I'm beginning to think I should just have called the whole storyline The Heck? And this'll be the last post for a while, as I'm packing tomorrow and moving to my Cambri...

Developing photos, obviously, but what's he doing in the panel with the pen and ruler?

Damn.

Ah well, even at 98 strips, that's still a decent run. I do wonder about that last one, pencilled but never inked, that we'll never ever see.

What space should we watch for your next project? (Will you leave the archvies up?)

Godspeed.

Czech Scrabble? Intriguing. I might actually play Scrabble if I can get a set in Cyrillic. Anyone know if such a thing exists, and where I might get it? Yep. Versions for various languages, including Russian, are available. You'd have to get the specific language you wanted, as the point scores and...

I saw this in a message board for another comic, and thought it was hilarious. Your mileage, of course, may vary. :D So what was your favorite take of Blade Runner? Original? Director's Cut? I only ever saw the original, and that was some time ago. Dunno. I think I've seen both, but couldn't tell t...

It's meant to say 'contumely', which is a word, even though it stopped being used in about 1850. 'Requie' is indeed a non-word; when I was drafting out the word, I didn't take into account the size of the board, so the 'm' was chopped off. The other mistake is (I think) 'mano', which is Italian, no...

Re: in which i admit to learning something?

part of being productive is disciplining yourself to do work. a great way to discipline yourself is to give yourself deadlines. I can confirm that when I was canned from the school newspaper (and thus removed from the obligation of deadlines), my strip became as irregular as my Grandpa (who has bee...

all right all right. i've just looked up "decadence" and "nonplusses" in the dictionary, and i think maybe i used the wrong word there. use context clues to figure out what i really meant. Nonplus is my favorite word. Well, maybe not better than antorbital, (fenestrae), but pretty close. also, let ...
