But all this talk of MS's "good/illegal business practices" reminds me of that movie where the Bill Gates knock off was killing all those open source programmers. He acted so damn innocent, giving his "I'm just a good businessman, nothing more." speach. Anyone know what was that called again? Antit...

I mostly listen to NPR on the way to work and internet radio stations there. Occasionly I'll flip around in my car, and there are some rather catchy, clever songs out there from time to time. But then I've never kept up with "pop" stuff very well, so my opinion of the state of popular music is proba...

I never thought that I would take a hiatus, but I'm in the middle of what will probably be a 6 month + one right now. As the majority of my comic was done while I was unempolyed, and I now work 50+ hours a week, the change was quite severe for me. I do miss it. I actually had a few regular fans ther...

I guess there are no easy answers, but the little kids yelling "sell out" all the time are typically jealous, immature fools who think they own whatever they enjoy. Excellent statement. I just wanted to say a few things while I'm here: I was listening to a radio show a few months ago, where the hos...

Heh, RotK is the only one of those that I've even seen.

(Though I do want to see "Master and Commander" eventually.)

... and I'm the only person in Utah with an online comic. I feel so lonely. All of my comic was done in Utah (with the exception of the haitus anouncement) and not too far from where you are now, but unfortunately I have moved away and can no longer be a Utah webcomic-ist. I should change my profil...

Less talking! More fighting! I agree. The fight scenes were definitely the best part of the movie, producing several eyes-wide "did you see that" moments for me, something that hasn't happened in quite some time. While I'm here... This may be just as good a place to ask this as any, so here goes: W...

I just wanted to be someone else who points out that I'm not in the picture.

But then I'm not nearly as active on these forums as those who were included, so it's understandable.

Oh, and good job by the way. :D

And it is a challenge at that. Hopefully the individuals have been able to keep track of if they have fanart coming.

If anyone has done fan art, and doesn't think anyone is doing any for them, make it known now.

So far I'm the only one with really young characters. I went for physical age on mine, and the printer is the oldest character in my strip; I've had it for 5 years.

I start up Illustrator, start moving things around, then actually think about what the comic is going to be about. Half the time I don't even think of the whole comic at once. I make each panel until I run out of panels, then I export, upload, shut everything down, and go to bed - usually a while af...

Just giving it a brief overview, I would say that most of the elements on your page (including the comic) are larger than they need to be.

If nothing else, I would shrink the navigation buttons.

'Archive' comics

I was reading through a couple of comics today, including mine (I do that sometimes) and I realized that most web comics seem to be more enjoyable if you wait, and read through the archives, than if you just go and read the most recent one right when it comes out. With some, they make more sense bec...

1. I've already gone to one party as Joel from MST3K, and I'm going to go to work as him on the 31st. We usually have a half dozen or so dress up here, so I won't feel too out of place.

2. I think so...

Yeah, I wonder if it would be less controversial if it was a drawing instead of a photo. A while back there was that thread where I think Ghastly threatened that if he heard anymore people whining about their comic that he would force them to blow someone in a catholic school uniform, and Yanagi Sa...

I seem to have stabilized at 9 visits a day. At least that's been my average for the past two months.

Here's the main stats:
Hits/Day: 240
Pages/Day: 28
Visits/Day: 9

I guess that puts my ratio at roughly (1:3:26)

I finally got my first real search string (one I didn't do myself just to make sure it worked) and it's not horribly exciting, but here it is:

"hardware the comic"

This string currently brings my comic up as #1 on yahoo. Interestingly enough, "comic" doesn't apear on my front page anymore.

Let's see. The last clique I can remember consciously being in was in high school, and it was drama. It was good to feel like you belonged, and the people there weren't afraid to be wacky. It was fun. It was also nice to see that in high school, there was actually more than one 'in-crowd'. I think s...
